Faith like a mustard seed

In Matthew 17:20 Jesus corrects his disciples: "Because of your little faith; for truly I tell you that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed...". With direct words He reminds us that faith, although it may seem tiny, contains a supernatural power when its object is Christ.

The teaching emphasizes that the effectiveness of faith does not lie in its size but in whom it is directed. A faith that fixes its gaze on the Lord can speak to the mountains—the problems, fears, and barriers of life—and see them move; Jesus' promise is clear: "and nothing will be impossible for you."

In practical life, this means nourishing faith with the Word, prayer, and daily obedience. Start with small steps: declare God's promises, obey in the simple things, gather with fellow believers, and remember the Lord's past works; thus the seed grows until it confronts and displaces the mountains that once intimidated you.

Do not let yourself be paralyzed by "little faith": God himself gives you faith and accompanies you on the way. Take a step of trust today, speak to your mountain in the name of Jesus and await his power; in Christ there is hope and victory — take courage, continue trusting and acting in his name.
