Rejoicing in the Lord: a call to look to the One who created us

Rejoice in the Lord, for He is the Creator of all that is visible and invisible, the One who set the skies by His word and sustains the earth by His power. When affliction strikes or uncertainty threatens, turning our gaze to the One who formed us from the womb and loved us from eternity returns to us the peace that surpasses understanding. Our joy does not depend on passing circumstances, but on the eternal truth that the One who made heaven and earth is faithful and is with us.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say: rejoice. This command is not a mere feeling, but a firm decision to align the heart with the sovereign work of God. The Almighty who created the world and sustains every breath is the one who calls us to live with hope, knowing that His spotless love covers us and that His grace sustains us in every trial. By gazing at His greatness, our worries settle and we discover a joy that does not depend on what happens, but on the One who listens to us and cares for us.

In the midst of circumstances, we can train the soul to rejoice in God's faithfulness: remembering His creation, His power, and His inexhaustible love. This joy is a faith response that translates into practical trust: praying with gratitude, serving with patience, and walking with a hope that lights the day. Thus, our life demonstrates that the joy of the Lord is our strength and that, even in weakness, He is our fullness. May this rejoicing encourage us to persevere and to live for the glory of the One who created us and loves us ✝️🤍.
