Genesis 1:27 proclaims that God created human beings in His image, male and female, granting us dignity, purpose and a vocation to represent Him. This declaration grounds our identity not in achievements or social roles, but in God's creative initiative, who sees us as bearers of His image.
What God created was also formed by His hands: not merely an instantaneous act, but an intentional process of shaping and the gift of life. Being made in God's image implies being molded by Him—in our soul, in our affective life, and in our relationships—to reflect His character of love, justice, and holiness.
In practical life this calls us to coherence: to care for creation, cultivate relationships that reveal the Triune God, accept correction and seek repentance when we fail. Divine formation manifests itself in discipline, community, and obedience; it is in the daily walk that we learn to translate our identity into acts of service and witness.
If today you ask yourself who you are or feel incomplete, receive this truth: you were created and are being formed by the Creator. Surrender to the process, trust in God's shaping, persevere in prayer and obedience; allow Him to complete in you the work He began, and move forward with courage and hope.
