Held Together by His Word

Hebrews 1:3 lifts our eyes to see Jesus not as one more impressive figure in history, but as the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of His nature. He is not merely a reflection of God, but God Himself made visible and knowable in a human life.

The writer tells us that the same Jesus who walked dusty roads and hung on a cross is the One who upholds the universe by the word of His power. This means every atom, every star, every heartbeat continues because He wills it to be so.

The order and function of creation are not held together by blind forces, but by a personal Savior who knows and loves His people. Nothing in the cosmos is random or overlooked by His sustaining hand.

Your life, then, is not spinning in chaos, even when it feels that way; it is sustained moment by moment by the living Christ. You are held by the same One who governs galaxies, and He is neither distant nor indifferent to your story.
