Created to Worship: Response to God's Revelation

Letícia R.

The passage in Romans 1:21 condemns a sad consequence: to know God and yet not glorify Him or give thanks to Him. When the response to the Creator is a silence of worship, thoughts become empty and the heart sinks into darkness. As a pastor, I see here an urgent call: to recognize that creation is not neutral, but a continuous testimony that demands a response from our spirit.

As we contemplate the heavens, the mountains, and the small things around us, we are confronted with the wisdom and order of the Creator. The beauty of the world is a theophany — an aspect of general revelation that points to the Lord. It is not enough to appreciate aesthetically; we must let that beauty lead us to gratitude and drive us to seek more fully the revelation of God in Christ, who fulfills and clarifies what creation announces.

To live in coherence with this recognition means more than pious words: it requires practical obedience. A life aligned with the Lord of the universe transforms daily choices, shapes relationships, and guides priorities. Where there was indifference, there should be praise; where there was ingratitude, there should be a surrendered heart; where there was darkness, may the light of Christ discipline our thoughts and guide our actions.

May creation awaken in you today true worship and practical gratitude: allow the contemplation of created things to lead to the worship of the One who made them. Commit yourself in obedience to the Lord revealed in Jesus, and let that surrender transform your days. Move forward with courage to glorify God in everything.
