If, then, you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
As believers, we are called to live from the reality of a resurrection that already defines us. It is not about an isolated external change, but a deep renewal that reorders our gaze and desire. Fixing your eyes on the things above is an invitation to evaluate what really gives meaning to our journey: communion with Christ, obedience to his word, and the hope of his glory. Amid trials and distractions, the truth that our life is hidden with Christ in God sustains us, calls us to trust, and to act with integrity, knowing that our identity does not depend on circumstances, but on his accomplished salvation.
When Christ, our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. This is the future that gives meaning to the present: the manifestation of his glory in us is the culmination of a process of sanctification that begins now. As we wait, we are offered to live according to the spiritual reality that already belongs to us: seek the eternal, practice honesty, love others with generosity, and live with a hope that transforms our daily decisions. May our gaze not be worn down by the fleeting, but be strengthened by the promise of the life that never ends, and may that longing propel our walk with courage and joy, now and always.
