Grace and Apostleship: Obedience That Is Born of Faith

Scripture reminds us that, through Christ and because of His Name, we have received grace and an apostolic calling. Romans 1:5 places Christ at the center: it is through Him and for His glory that we are reached. This grace is not abstract; it is a concrete empowerment to fulfill a divine office — to be instruments of the Lord to call people from the nations to what God desires: obedience that springs from faith.

Understanding what "obedience that derives from faith" means changes our Christian practice. It is not about following rules out of guilt or performance, but about a trusting response to the truth of Christ. Faith produces obedience because it knows and loves the One who sends. And this calling has universal reach: the mission is to gather a people from all nations, showing that God's grace breaks cultural, social, and personal barriers to form a community of faith and obedience.

In daily life, this truth leads us to practical attitudes: cultivating intimacy with Christ so that our obedience is the fruit of trust; preaching and living the gospel with humility, knowing that apostleship is manifested both in proclamation and in the testimony of life; discipling with patience, helping brothers and sisters translate faith into loving practice. It also implies courage to reach beyond our circle, believing that God uses small gestures guided by faith to produce obedience in others.

Therefore, keep Christ at the center of your calling and trust in the grace you have received. Allow your faith to produce obedience — at home, in the church, and in the places where God sends you — knowing that you participate in God's plan to gather a people for His glory. Rise today with the certainty that He accompanies you and empowers you to obey and to call others to Christ; move forward with confidence and faithfulness.
