Invites that Free: Proclaiming the Wisdom that Calls

O Lord, before the invitation that rises to the ears of the city, we remember that Proverbs 9:3 shows us a wisdom that is not hidden, but stands above the walls to reach everyone. The image of the maidservants who proclaim invitations from the highest point reveals the urgency of announcing the truth that frees, not with human victories, but with grace that transforms hearts. In this reflection, we recognize that the word that cries out is not merely news, it is a call; not just a voice, it is a life offered to those who are hungry for understanding and for the peace that comes from the Lord.

As we contemplate the gesture of proclaiming invitations, we are called to respond with humility to listen and obey. The wisdom that calls in the square echoes the practice of a faith that becomes near, that does not hide, that is willing to walk with those who seek direction. May we, as listeners and proclaimers, understand that God’s grace is not only received, but communicated, so that others may also discover that the city can be a place of encounter with the Creator.

May this message lead us to a life marked by careful action: to hear the clamor of those who are in doubt, to offer invitations that point to the truth that frees, and to live in a way that our daily choices reflect the wisdom that guides toward God. And may, as disciples who proclaim, we receive courage to be where it is necessary, confident that God’s invitation is the invitation to an eternal relationship with Him. May we be strengthened to continue proclaiming, in faith, the path that leads to the Kingdom of God and to abundant life in Christ.
