Who is God? Rest for the soul before the All-Knowing Creator

Who is God? a question that threads through the ages to reach the human heart. The passage from Isaiah 40:10-31 places us before a God who does not reveal himself as an abstract concept, but as Elohim who governs the cosmos with power, wisdom, and tender care for his flock. As we lean over the actions described in this text, we see that He orders the universe with the precision of one who sustains the waters in the palm of the hand and measures the heavens with a span. He is not merely distant greatness; he is a Shepherd who gathers in his arms, carries the little lambs, and guides the sheep that nurse their young. When we ask who God is, the biblical answer is not only a theological proposition, but a life that approaches and allows itself to be guided by Him, who judges with justice and pours out wisdom on those who seek his paths.

This revelation places us before a necessary distance between our limited view and the vastness of the Creator. Just as nations are considered as mere dust before the Holy One, yet He does not tire or exhaust Himself. His wisdom is unfathomable, and even the weary find strength as they wait on Him. The question that emerges is: where to seek strength when energies waver? Not in riches, nor in quick solutions, but in trusting in a God who gives new vitality to a weary heart. The promise is clear: those who wait on the Lord renew their strength, they soar on wings like eagles, they run and do not grow weary, they walk and do not faint. In Christ, this God is revealed as a source of life that sustains every step, strengthening faith for the practical journey of daily life, whether at work, in the family, or in relationships, so that our lives reflect the majesty of the Creator who reveals Himself as a faithful Shepherd.

As we contemplate the central question, Who is God for my life today?, we are invited to respond with a faithful practice: trust through prayer, seek through submission to His will, obey what He teaches in the Word, and remain steadfast when doubt assails. God is not only majestic abstract; He is the God who draws near, cares, and guides. Therefore, may we awaken to recognize the greatness of Him who governs the universe and, at the same time, draws near to direct each step of our daily life. May this understanding lead us to a life of holiness and humility, in which our strength does not depend on ourselves but on the One who sustains all things. Be motivated, then: trust the Lord with all your heart, wait on Him, and witness the faithfulness that renews strength and sustains the walk of those who belong to the God who is eternal.
