And so it happened. God created a space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. As I read Genesis 1:7, I am reminded that the Creator is not a distant God, but the Lord who orders the space between heaven and earth so that there may be order, boundary, and purpose. The central idea I bring before God today is that Jesus, the incarnate Word, is the fulfillment of all creation: in Him all things were created, and in Him the fullness dwells (Colossians 1:16-17; John 1:14). My confession of love for Jesus is not merely emotional affection, but a recognition that the life I follow depends on Him, the truth that sets me free, and the hope that sustains me.
As I contemplate the separation of the waters, I reflect on the need for spiritual discernment to remain in Christ amid the turbulent waters of the world. Jesus is the One who guides us when chaos seems to take over, bringing a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In every decision, in every moment of prayer, I seek in Him the wisdom to live in obedience and holiness, recognizing that I am called to walk as a follower of Christ, not by my strength, but by the grace that operates in me (Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 12:1-2).
Therefore, I encourage myself and you, brother and sister, to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, author and perfecter of our faith. May the love of Christ lead us to love more deeply, to trust more completely, and to obey with joy. If I say that I love Jesus, may this love translate into a life that honors the Lord, in service to others, and in perseverance in the faith, even in times of trial. May we today find courage to walk with Christ, confident that in Him is our victory and our future marked by the hope of the coming glory.
