Each Member, a Body in Christ

All of you together are the body of Christ, and each of you is a part of that body. In this passage, truth is not abstract but relational: we are not isolated, but interwoven by the grace that sustains us. As preachers and listeners, we must learn to value the diversity of gifts within the unity, knowing that every contribution is indispensable for the health of the whole, just as each finger, eye, or ear has a particular purpose so that sight, balance, and action remain in harmony.

When we think of our daily life as part of the body, preaching is not only a act of communicating a truth, but a way of living that reveals Christ in every relationship. The faithfulness of the preacher, the listening of the brother, or the loving correction among brothers are expressions of the same member: all aimed at building up, comforting, and exhorting. May our words and actions flow from the dignity of being part of the same organism, where the love of Christ is seen in practice and not only in theory.

Today we are invited to practice humility and service, to understand that the strength of the church is not in the prominence of one, but in the cooperation of many according to the divine plan. Let us each day seek to be a channel of grace, obeying the call to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Be motivated to contribute with your gift, to sustain others in prayer, and to live in such a way that the world may see that in Christ there is shared life and clear purpose.
