In the beginning: Creator and Order

Genesis 1:1 proclaims a fundamental reality: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Before time, voices, or human planning, there was the divine initiative; God is the origin and foundation of everything. In the Christian revelation we recognize in Christ that creative Word by which all things exist, and therefore all creation and our lives find their meaning in Him.

The image of God organizing the formless helps us see the value of putting the everyday in order. Just as Scripture presents a firm beginning, our notes and labels - like those you use in your notebook - are tools to bring clarity: to name worries, prioritize tasks, and recognize blessings. It is not an end in itself; it is a reflection that we were made by a God who gives shape and purpose.

In practice, bring to God your messy 'pages': write down what worries you, add #prayer, #decisions, or #gratitude tags, and hand them over in prayer. Allow the truth that He created and sustains to guide you in making decisions, managing your time, and fulfilling your vocation. When you obey the Creator you begin to align your day with His design.

May this verse prompt you to trust: the same God who put order in the beginning can put order in your heart and in your plans. Use your notes to remember His sovereignty, surrender them in prayer, and move forward with hope; He who created all things also upholds your life. Take heart: enter today into His order and mission.
