In the beginning: the Author and the beginning of everything

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. These three words inaugurate not only a historical event, but a pastoral truth: everything has its origin in God. Like the welcome note — "Welcome! This is a sample note." — reminds us that there is an intentional beginning, Scripture invites us to recognize that our lives, thoughts, and steps are born from the creative action of the one who gave order to chaos.

God organized the heavens and the earth; He gave limits, contents, and meaning. Think of your Notebook, where all your notes, highlights, and reactions are organized into tabs and menus: in this way God structures creation so that there is a place for everything. There is wisdom in applying this image to the pastoral care of your spiritual life: jotting down prayers, recording promises, using "#hashtag" to remember spiritual priorities — all under the order of the Creator who calls for care and discipline.

Christ is the full revelation of this Creator who begins and sustains. As we meditate on Genesis 1:1, we recognize that the creative action points to the Word of God that brings us redemption, meaning, and reconciliation; in Jesus we find the purpose for which everything that was created exists. Pastoral care and obedient practices are born when we allow the Lord of beginnings to establish priorities, heal confusions, and give unity to our personal and communal story.

Therefore, begin today to align your "inner notebook" with the First Author: write your petitions, mark your blessings, prioritize what is eternal. Trust in the God who made the heavens and the earth to also order your days; restart under His direction and move forward with courage, knowing that the same God who began everything does not abandon us along the way. Be encouraged to record, order, and live under the Creator's purpose.
