In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. This initial truth reveals God's sovereignty over all history, including my journey of Bible reading, which I started today in Balneário Camboriú. When I begin a project as long and contemplative as this, it is easy to feel anxious about the unknown; however, Scripture teaches us that the Lamb is the Alpha and the Omega, and that the Word of God endures forever. May I, in this first stage, rest in the security that all of creation responds to the Creator, even when the path seems long and uncertain, and may each day of reading be an act of fidelity that shapes my heart to obey God in practice.
As I write and reflect, I am reminded that the practice of biblical meditation is not merely the acquisition of content, but the transformation of life. The beginning of everything points to a relationship—with God who creates, sustains, and guides. Today, the possibility of changing cities, uncertain plans, and family expectations calls to me with anxiety. Still, I can choose to place my trust in God who knows my tomorrow, who prepares paths, who uses time to teach me to depend on Him more deeply. Daily reading thus becomes apractice of surrender, of praying in the midst of uncertainty, of seeking divine wisdom for every decision that presents itself.
May this journey of three years and three months be not only a count of days but a formation of character that reveals God’s care in my life. With every step, may I find in Genesis 1:1 an anchor: God is Creator, Lord of all, and I am created by Him to walk in fellowship with His purpose. If the future demands change, may I respond with faith, remembering that our God is faithful to guide, sustain, and bless the steps of those who seek Him. May the hope in Christ be the motivation that lifts me each morning, with courage to persevere and with patience to wait in God’s timing, serving as a living diary of the grace that sustains me.
