From Chaos to Creation: Motivation for Faith that Moves the Spirit

The earth, however, was formless and empty. Darkness covered the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the waters. In this image of chaos, God does not reject raw matter nor the void; He contemplates, dares to dwell in the emptiness, and, by His breath, brings order, purpose, and life. We are called to recognize that our own condition can be similar: moments of uncertainty, regions of inner silence, situations that seem empty. But the presence of God is not absent in chaos; it is there that the Spirit moves, preparing the ground for the creation of what is to come. May we cultivate the confidence that, before any order, there is the divine audacity to dream of something new in us and through us.
