If, then, you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect unity. And whatever you do, whether in word or in action, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
This passage calls us to live from the resurrection that Christ has given us, to walk looking upward and to clothe ourselves with the character that reflects the One who created us. The new life is not a passing fashion; it is a continual renewal seen in our compassion, in the kindness that marks us, in the humility that frees us from pride, and in the patience that sustains daily living. May every word and action bear witness that we belong to Christ, and may our life, hidden in Him, bear fruits of gratitude, communion, and true love, so that others may be drawn to the grace that sustains us.
Encouragement, brother and sister: do not be discouraged in the struggle to live according to God's kingdom in a world that invites us to look downward. Each day, by choosing what is healthy, just, and loving, you are lowering your gaze from the earth and lifting it toward Christ. Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust in his grace to renew the heart, and move forward with the assurance that God is shaping you for a glory that does not fade. Walk on in faith, knowing that your life is hidden with Christ and that, in His time, it will be manifested in glory.
