Living with Wisdom in Bad Times

Brothers and sisters, as we contemplate Ephesians 5:15-17, we are called to a life that strengthens wisdom above folly. The passage does not invite escaping the reality of difficult days, but discerning each step from God's perspective, so that our decisions reflect His will. Taking the time to understand what the Lord desires involves prayer, reflection, and a view that transcends the immediate, remembering that divine wisdom is greater than our haste and human certainties.

In the midst of temptations and pressures, it is not enough to act with good intentions; we must act with understanding. This means evaluating our priorities, choosing according to revealed truth, and asking for discernment so as not to waste the opportunities God places in our path. The Christian life, then, becomes an exercise in humility where we acknowledge our dependence on the Spirit's guidance to walk as sons and daughters of God in a world that demands our quick impulse.

May each day become a practice of obedience informed by the Word and prayer. May our way of living express a heart that desires to please God beyond cultural currents. If we fall into haste or misinformation, may we return to the source of wisdom: seek the Lord, understand His will, and obey with faith. Let us hold fast to the hope that growth in wisdom is not only for us, but for the glory of His kingdom and the testimony we give to the world. Encouragement to continue walking in wisdom, trusting that God guides every step.
