The food that rises from the crowd to the hands of the disciples is also a sign that the church is called to share what it has received, so that nothing is wasted — “Gather the pieces that are left over, so that nothing may be lost.” This practice of stewards of the blessing reveals a lifestyle of obedience and service, where God’s provision serves as a channel of communal responsibility. May we, as a community, recognize in Jesus Himself the Prophet who guides our decisions, sustains our hope, and nourishes our love, keeping firm the confidence that He is the one who came to fulfill all of God’s promises, including the life that transforms the world.
