God Does Not Forget Your Service

Hebrews 6:10 reminds us of something profoundly tender about the heart of God: He is neither unjust nor indifferent to what you do for the sake of His name. Even if others do not see it, even if no one applauds you, God sees every act of service, every hidden effort, every time you choose to love when it is easier to give up. This passage teaches us that the Lord observes not only the external work but also the love with which you do it. It is not about accumulating merits, but about responding with gratitude to the grace we receive in Christ. Jesus has already done the perfect work on the cross, and from that assurance, what we do for the saints has eternal value before God. Nothing you do in Him is in vain.

In light of this verse, we can say that God will always give us at least two things in the midst of service: comfort, encouragement, and reward, and new grace to continue serving. When you feel tired, misunderstood, or tempted to think that nothing is worth it, God Himself comes close to comfort your heart. He reminds you in His Word that He does not forget, that His memory is perfect and His justice secure. That comfort is not just emotional; it is the certainty that your risen Lord walks with you, sees your tears, and transforms them into seeds of eternal fruit. His encouragement comes through the Holy Spirit, a biblical promise, a word from a brother, or even a small everyday detail that reminds you that you are not alone. And the reward, although sometimes it will be fully seen in eternity, already begins here in the peace and joy that comes from obeying Him.

The second thing that God will always give you is fresh grace to continue serving, even when you feel you can’t go on. He not only looks at your past service, but also sustains your present and prepares your future. Just as you have served the saints, the text says, you continue serving even now, and that is only possible because Christ lives in you. The grace of God enables you to love when you have been hurt, to give when it seems you have nothing left, to remain faithful when the environment invites you to give up. Every day, the Lord renews your strength, perhaps silently, but truly, helping you take one more step in obedience and love. It is not about you being strong, but about His power being perfected in your weakness.

Therefore, as you continue serving in big or small ways, you can walk with hope. Remember: God is not unjust; He will not forget what you do for Jesus nor the love He has placed in your heart. When fatigue or disappointment strikes, hold on to this truth: you will always have His comfort and His encouragement, and you will always have His grace to continue. In Christ, your service is never invisible, never useless, never wasted. Keep going, even if it is at a slow pace, knowing that your Father sees, values, and will faithfully reward what you do in His name. Be encouraged today: with Jesus by your side, your work makes sense, your love has purpose, and your future in Him is secure.
