Today we are not here by chance. The Word reminds us that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation — an identity that precedes any human effort. Before we begin to sing or speak, we need to let this truth align our hearts: we belong to Him, called not by merit, but by grace.
We have been brought out of darkness and placed into His marvelous light; this transition grounds our Christian life and our mission. To be a people who are the exclusive possession of God means living as those who belong to another Kingdom, with values, priorities and practices that reflect His holiness. This transforms our worship: it is not just feeling, it is recognition and declaration of the greatness of the One who called us.
In practice this requires spiritual discipline and pastoral courage: remembering daily who we are in Christ, cultivating personal holiness, interceding as priests and serving as ambassadors of truth. In our meetings, words and deeds we proclaim the light that reached us — through faithful testimony, service to the needy and faithfulness in obedience. The vocation to proclaim is not optional; it is the purpose that shapes our choices and relationships.
Therefore, as we leave or when we gather again, let us make our identity in Christ the first thing we affirm: we belong to Him and we were called to declare His greatness. May this conviction give us steadfastness in trials and joy in the daily mission; let us go together, living and proclaiming the light to which we were called, with courage and hope.
