The good news is that, in Christ, it is always time to realign the heart and the treasure. If you have noticed that you have been giving more attention to things that do not nourish your soul, do not distance yourself from God because of this; instead of fleeing, draw near to Him with confidence, knowing that He knows your weaknesses and still loves you. Do not hide what is happening: open your life before Him with simplicity and truth, without masks and without fear of being rejected.
Bring everything to God in prayer, sincerely sharing what has occupied your thoughts, your desires, and your worries. The Lord does not despise a heart that turns to Him in repentance and with a genuine desire for change; on the contrary, He leans in to listen, comforts, restores, and strengthens. In His presence, you can pour out your tears, confess your distractions, and ask Him to readjust your priorities.
Believe that God not only forgives but also teaches to love what truly has eternal value. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your affections, transforming what you desire, seek, and value, so that your pleasure is, above all, in the will of the Lord. Pray that your heart is drawn to the beauty of Christ and that you find true joy in seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, above other things.
As your treasure is increasingly placed in Christ, you will notice that your heart becomes firmer, your emotions more stable, and your peace deeper. Thus, your hope will cease to depend on circumstances and will become an unshakable hope, grounded in God's faithfulness. In this way, you will be able to walk today with renewed enthusiasm, no longer living as a slave to guilt or fear, but resting in the certainty that the Lord cares for every step you take and leads you with love.
