God's Vision of Me: The Pursuit of Pleasing Him in Christ

Do I seek the praise of men or the approval of God now? Or am I trying to please people only? If I were still seeking to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ!

As we reflect on Galatians 1:10, we are invited to examine the vision God has for us and align our actions with the sovereignty of Christ. When our motivation vacillates between human applause and divine faithfulness, the true identity of the disciple is revealed: we do not live for the approval of others, but for the glory of the One who called us. God's vision of us is not merely functional or social, but relational: we are created to walk closely with Him, under the direction of the Spirit, recognizing that our life is His before any human recognition.

This contemplation leads us to ask: am I seeking to please myself alone, or am I living by faith in Christ, who transforms me to obey and to love? God's patience calls us to a heart shaped by humility, holiness, and the hope that will not fade when human voices cease. The practical theology of this verse is clear: our identity is anchored in Christ, and our calling is to be faithful witnesses that God is the Lord of all life, including the motivations of the heart.

May we walk with pastoral courage, recognizing that true approval does not come from what we can achieve in the eyes of men, but from what we are in Christ. May every decision, every word, and every action reflect the divine priority: to please God. I encourage you to seek, daily, the wisdom that comes from above, the humility that confesses dependence, and the courage that remains steadfast when the world watches. May your identity be grounded in fidelity to the Master, and may the refreshment of Christ's love strengthen us to live for Him, today and always.
