Pray with faith according to Mark 11:24

In Mark 11:24 Jesus invites us to pray with the confidence of someone who knows that His heavenly Father hears: "therefore I tell you that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be granted to you." This teaching directs us to Christ, the author and finisher of faith, who calls for prayer that unfolds from the assurance of His person and His power.

To believe, according to Jesus, is not a magical formula nor a verbal charm. To believe means to trust in God's faithful character and in His wisdom; it means to expect that He will work for good in accordance with His will. This does not amount to an automatic guarantee of immediate fulfillment of whims: the Father may respond with yes, no, or wait, always directing His action toward the redemptive purposes we know in Christ.

In practice, praying in faith involves presenting our petitions in the name of Jesus, seeking the Father's will in the Word, surrendering our desires, and persevering in prayer. Accompany faith with obedience and an examination of heart: pray asking for conformity to the Kingdom of God, be attentive to the Spirit, and act according to the direction He gives, knowing that authentic faith aligns with the good God wants to produce in us and in others.

Do not be discouraged if the answer is delayed or comes differently than expected; remain in communion with Christ and trust in His love and wisdom. The Lord hears and works, and His purpose is always for our eternal good. Take heart: keep praying with faith, submitting your will to the Father's and resting in the assurance that He is working for you.
