An Invitation from the Holy Spirit to All Nations

Claudia S.

Psalm 117 is extremely short, yet immense in meaning: in it, all nations and all peoples are invited to praise the Lord. Each word carries a deep spiritual weight, revealing God's desire to be worshiped by all humanity, without exception. It is not merely a poetic praise, but a real call directed to all the earth.

This invitation is not restricted to a specific religious group, nor limited to a people, a culture, or a particular tradition. It is not bound by geographical borders, local customs, or human preferences. It also does not end in a period of history, as if it were just a message for the past. It is an invitation that remains alive, valid, and current at all times.

What we see in Psalm 117 is an open, universal invitation that crosses borders, languages, and eras. It reaches both those who already know God and those who have yet to have a personal encounter with Him. The message of the psalm breaks barriers and resonates in every heart willing to listen, reminding us that the Lord is worthy of being exalted by all peoples, in all places.

Today, this same invitation continues to echo, not only through the voice of the psalmist recorded in the Scriptures but through the living action of the Holy Spirit of God. It is the Spirit Himself who calls men, women, young people, and the elderly, anywhere in the world, to recognize who God is, to turn to Him in faith, and to surrender in sincere worship, giving their lives to the Lord.
