The Time Has Come!

Sibelle S.

In Luke 2:6, we are reminded that while Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem, the long-awaited moment of Jesus' birth arrived. This verse encapsulates the expectation and fulfillment of divine plans. The arrival of Christ in the world was not just a historical event; it was the fulfillment of promises that echoed since the times of Genesis. Just as the Israelites awaited the coming of the Messiah, we too live in an era of waiting and hope, anticipating the return of our Savior. The birth of Jesus in a stable teaches us that God works in humble and unexpected circumstances, showing that His sovereignty is not limited to what we consider grand or worthy.

When we reflect on the time that came for the birth of Jesus, we are confronted with the certainty that God always has a plan. Every moment in our lives is carefully orchestrated by Him, even when things seem chaotic or out of our control. The birth of Jesus in Bethlehem was not simply an event; it was the culmination of centuries of waiting, faith, and preparation. Likewise, in our lives, we can be assured that even amidst challenges and uncertainties, God's timing is perfect. He calls us to trust in His schedule, even when the wait seems long.

The coming of Christ teaches us that there is a time for every purpose under heaven, as Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us. The story of Jesus' birth is a powerful reminder that even in the simplest situations, we can find the grandeur of the divine plan. When Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem, there was no room for them at the inn, but that did not prevent the story of salvation from unfolding. This narrative shows us that even when doors seem closed, God always has a way. It is an invitation for us to open our hearts and minds to the opportunities He presents.

Therefore, as we reflect on the birth of Christ, may we encourage ourselves to recognize that God's time has come in our lives. In every season, in every difficulty, remember that He is working in your favor. Do not be discouraged in the waits, for just like Mary and Joseph, we too are on the path of fulfilling God's promises. May this time of expectation lead us to renewed confidence, knowing that, in the end, the arrival of Jesus is the guarantee that hope is never in vain. Forward, for God's time is always the best time!
