Beginnings with God: Organizing Life from the Word

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." This simple yet grand verse reminds us that everything starts with God, not with us. Before any form, agenda, project, or plan, there was a God who knew exactly what He wanted to do. He did not create the world in a confusing or random way, but with purpose, order, and beauty. When we look at creation, we see a God who plans, organizes, and gives meaning to all things, from the stars to the details of our daily routine.

In the same way, every note you take, no matter how simple it may seem, can be a small "beginning" where God starts something new in your heart. An example note today can become, tomorrow, a precious reminder of something the Holy Spirit spoke to you. Just as God separated light from darkness, land from sea, you too can separate, record, and organize what He is showing you along the way. Your spiritual "Notebook," with notes, highlights, and reactions, can become a memorial of how God has guided your story. Small records today can become great testimonies tomorrow.

When you organize your notes, use hashtags, and revisit what has been recorded, you are practicing something very similar to what God does in creation: He brings form to what seemed empty and illuminates what was dark. Each #hashtag can represent a theme in which God is working in you: #grace, #forgiveness, #faith, #purpose. By categorizing and reviewing what God has already said, you learn to recognize patterns of God's grace in your life. This also helps filter voices: amidst so much daily information, you choose to highlight what comes from the Word and the action of God. Thus, your "notebook" ceases to be just a technical resource and becomes a sacred space for meeting with the Lord.

Perhaps today you are just beginning, feeling in a somewhat confusing "beginning," not clearly seeing all that God is doing. Remember: the same God who created the heavens and the earth from nothing is powerful to bring order, clarity, and direction to your life. Use each note, each highlight, and each reaction as a step of faith, recording what you can already see, even if it is still little. Over time, as you revisit your notebook, you will realize that God has been writing His good story in you, line by line. Keep walking, noting, meditating, and trusting: in Christ, every beginning can become a beautiful testimony of God's creativity, wisdom, and care over your life.
