Speak His Words Without Fear

In Ezekiel 2:7 the Lord commissions his prophet with a sober charge: "And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house." The mandate is clear and uncompromising — carry God’s message into a place of resistance, not because you will necessarily persuade them, but because faithfulness to the Sender is the prophet’s duty.

That same call frames our Christian witness. We are summoned to speak God’s words through preaching, conversation, and a life shaped by Scripture, whether people welcome our words or reject them. The yardstick for our obedience is not results or approval but fidelity to the voice that sent us; obedience roots our identity in God’s authority rather than the reception of our audience.

Your conviction — that there is no one or nothing to be afraid of when you have God — captures the courage this task requires. When God sends, he also sustains: the presence of the Lord displaces ultimate fear and supplies the strength to speak into rebellion. We do not act from bravado but from the security of One who stands with us and gives our words life beyond our control.

Practically, pray for the Spirit’s words, speak with humility and boldness, and remember that obedience itself pleases God even when people turn away. If you have been commissioned to speak, you have already been equipped; your responsibility is faithfulness, not outcomes. Take heart and be encouraged: God goes with you, so do not be afraid.
