The Lord speaks to Daniel about secrets sealed until an appointed time, while foreseeing an era in which “knowledge will increase” and people will run to and fro. Today, when we test an application, we recognize that same haste for information, updates, and immediate results. The passage reminds us that there is a human time of movement and a divine time of revelation; therefore our technical initiatives are never outside the reach of Christ’s sovereignty.
In the practical exercise of development and testing, we are called not to confuse speed with wisdom. Testing an application implies responsibility: protecting data, respecting people, safeguarding truth in features, and considering the real-life consequences for users. Instead of submitting to the idol of novelty or metrics, we seek discernment in prayer, faithful application of Scripture, and the humility to keep sealed what God has not yet revealed publicly.
Theologically, this text reminds us that every multiplication of knowledge finds its proper end when subjected to the Lord who is the incarnate Logos. Christ is both the light that clarifies and the Lord of time who opens secrets in his hour. Thus, our technical work must be shaped by obedience, holiness, and love for others: functions and code are not ends in themselves but means to fulfill the command to serve and build up the kingdom of God.
Therefore, when testing the application today, do it with integrity, patience, and dependence on Christ; work diligently, pray, and wait for God’s direction for the timing of each revelation. Persevere with courage and faith, knowing that the Lord multiplies knowledge for his purposes and will sustain your effort. Move forward with confidence and humility.
