Evening, Morning, and the God Who Orders Our Days

In Genesis 1:5 we read that God named the light “day” and the darkness “night,” and that there was evening and morning, one day. Before we ever learn about people, work, or responsibilities, Scripture first introduces us to God as the One who orders time.

He separates light from darkness and gives each a name, showing His authority and care over the rhythm of our lives. Nothing is random; even the passing of hours is a gift shaped by His wise hands.

This means your days are not just a blur of tasks, but spaces God has already seen, named, and ordered. Every moment is held within a pattern He established from the very beginning.

From the very first page of the Bible, we are invited to trust that God is Lord over our schedule, our seasons, and our limits. You can rest knowing that the One who set day and night in place is also gently guiding the course of your life.
