Everything that is good and perfect is a gift that comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights of the heavens. He never changes or varies like a moving shadow.
In this passage, God's faithfulness is revealed as the source of all benevolence. There is no variation in His nature: what He offers today He offered yesterday and will continue to offer tomorrow.
