Thus, our confidence is not in signs of conquest already visible, but in the faithfulness of the One who moves over the waters to bring order, purpose, and life.
This in-between moment, between the initial void and the creation that will come, reveals a pastoral truth: Christian hope does not evade the void, does not minimize pain, but affirms that God's presence is already at work.
