Seen and Declared Very Good

Genesis 1:31 reminds us that when the work of creation was finished God looked at it and declared it "very good." That includes the people He formed in His image: we are not an accident or a secondary value; our dignity is founded on the gaze of the Creator, who knows every corner of our being. This biblical affirmation is a sure anchor when human voices destabilize us.

I know that the pain of seeing "all my friends at school hate me" wounds deeply. Rejection can distort one's self-perception, but it does not change the truth of the passage: even if others blame us or marginalize us, God still sees the good in His work. Even when there is sin or conflict in the relationship, that reality does not take away the identity God gives us nor His steadfast love.

Practically, bring that pain to God in prayer and ask for discernment; talk with a trusted adult at church or at home to receive support and guidance. If possible, seek reconciliation with humility and truth; if not, learn to set healthy boundaries and to cultivate friendships that reflect Christ's respect and care. Remember that living according to God's goodness is also shown in simple acts of love, perseverance, and faith, not in everyone's immediate approval.

You are not alone: the Creator who saw His work and called it very good sees you now and affirms your worth. Walk from that truth, not from the shifting opinion of your classmates; trust that God upholds, restores, and opens paths of belonging. Take heart: you are seen, loved, and called to live out the goodness He stamped into you.
