The Spirit of the Lord came upon me and commanded me to say: This is what the Lord says to the inhabitants of Israel: I know what you are saying, for I know every thought that comes into your mind. In these verses a deep truth is revealed to us: there is no secret hidden from the One who created us. Before you speak, the intentions that arise within your heart have already passed through His ear; before you act, He knows the desire that drives each step. This awareness is not meant to frighten us, but to lead us to the grace that calls us to live in truth before Him. When we understand that the Almighty God knows the secret, we are invited to seek confession, restoration, and obedience, not evasion or guilt without direction.
In our daily life, there are moments when we believe that “no one sees us” and that our actions remain in the shadows. But the kingdom of God is not a realm of darkness, but of light that reveals and transforms. The Lord is not sitting on a distant throne; His presence fills every thought and every motive. This knowledge is not meant to condemn us, but to bring clarity: it calls us to align our desires with His will, to live with integrity when no one is watching, because the throne of heaven remains full of truth, love, and justice. May every decision, every word, and every intention be examined by the reality of His presence.
God knows the interior of the human heart and, yet, extends His grace to transform us. If we once acted moved by the secret in our mind, we can now respond with repentance, faith, and obedience. The Word that confronts us also offers us forgiveness and renewal; not to live in fear, but to walk in holiness and purpose under His will. May this knowledge guide our days: pursue holiness, cultivate honesty before God and before men, and remember that the kingdom of heaven is not devoid of His presence, but filled with the God who calls us to live in truth.
