Children by faith and reception

To all who believed in Him and received Him, He gave the right to become children of God. This truth is not a merit of our own but a generous grace from the heavenly Father: the Lord extends an invitation free of charge and at the same time with great value. When we believe and open the door of our hearts, we pass from death to life, from darkness to light, and we embrace an identity that transcends our circumstances. Today, let us remember that faith in Christ is not only an intellectual acceptance but a act of faith that transforms our relationship with God and places us under His paternal care.

The passage calls us to live with the dignity of children: not by our work, but by the redeeming work of Christ. This adoption is the foundation of our hope and of our daily obedience. If we have been made children, our decisions must spring from that relationship, seeking to please the Father who already welcomed us. In the midst of trials and temptations, we do not walk alone, but in the company of the Spirit who guides us toward truth and the full life that Jesus promises. May our conduct reflect the security of belonging to God’s family, not to earn His favor, but to respond to the love that has already reached us.

Let us remember the grace that calls us to live with responsibility before a Father who sees us as beloved children. The call is not a permission to drift, but an invitation to live with purpose, in faithfulness and in hope. If we have received that adoption, may our words and actions strengthen others’ confidence in the mercy of God, and may each day be an opportunity to glorify the Father who gave us the right to be called children. Courage: let us continue to trust in His faithfulness, because in Him we find our identity and our purpose.
