In the Beginning: Ordering What God Created

Genesis 1:1 throws us back to the origin: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Before anything we can control, there is the Creator who brings existence and order over the void. The creative act reveals that reality has an intentional beginning and a purpose established by God.

When you open your Notebook, organize notes and add #hashtags to facilitate access, you are participating in a reflection of the creative work: naming, grouping and making what exists intelligible. Just as God separated, called and structured creation, our simple organizing practices are practical ways of caring for the things He entrusted to us.

Being made in God's image implies that we are called to order, name and preserve creation in obedience to the Creator. The discipline of recording, labeling and reviewing thoughts prevents inner chaos and helps us discern priorities in the light of the gospel. This ordering is not mere efficiency; it is practical worship that recognizes the sovereignty of the One who made the heavens and the earth.

Start today: create a space for your notes, group them by themes, use hashtags that reveal purpose and review with prayer asking for wisdom to discern what to cultivate. Remember: the same God who brought the cosmos out of nothing is present in your small beginnings and wants to order them; trust Him and move forward with courage.
