Often, we think our faith must be big and impressive for God to move in our lives. We pressure ourselves, just like the apostles who pleaded, "Increase our faith!" (Luke 17:5). But Jesus’ response reveals a transformative truth: it’s not the size of our faith that moves the impossible, but the One in whom we place our trust. He said that even faith as small as a mustard seed is enough to accomplish extraordinary things. This shows us that the power does not come from us but from God, who responds to our trust, no matter how small it may be.
How often do we feel doubtful, unable to see a way out of our struggles? Yet, deep in our hearts, there remains a faint glimmer of hope, a quiet whisper that God can act. That tiny, almost imperceptible faith is precious in His eyes. Jesus does not demand enormous faith but a heart willing to believe, even if weakly. When we surrender that "mustard seed" of faith to Him, the miracle is not a reward for our confidence but a result of God’s grace and power.
God does not act in our lives because we deserve it or because we’ve reached a "sufficient" level of faith. If that were the case, we would always be in debt, striving to earn His favor. The truth is, He delights in any expression of faith because He knows that when we acknowledge our dependence on Him, all glory for the victories belongs to Him alone. When the mulberry tree is uprooted and cast into the sea (Luke 17:6), it is not man who receives the credit but the God who works through simple, sincere faith.
So, do not underestimate the small faith you have today. Even if it seems insufficient, it is the channel through which God manifests His power. Instead of striving for more faith, fix your eyes on the One who is worthy of all trust. He does not measure His actions by the size of your faith but by the greatness of His love. All it takes is a heart that, even while trembling, says, *"I believe, Lord! Help my unbelief."* And that is enough for Him to work wonders.
