The Humility of Children and The Wisdom of Heaven

Beloved, today, we reflect on the powerful words of Jesus as found in Matthew 18:4, 7, 10, "Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven... woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come... see that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.". This divine direction calls us to reflect on innocence, humility, and our personal responsibilities in leading a Christ-centered life.

Jesus, in his infinite wisdom, uses the innocence of children as an example of the humble heart that we should strive to embody. A child's heart is pure and innocent, untouched by worldly desires and ambitions. Jesus encourages us to adopt this same purity and innocence, to become humble, and to shed away the lusts of the flesh that lead us astray.

Within this passage, Jesus also warns us about the snares of the world and the damage they can inflict not just on us but also onto others through us. This serves as a call to guard our actions and words, to live in a way that does not cause others to stumble but rather leads them closer to the heart of our Father in heaven.

As we navigate through the challenges of life, let's make it a priority to approach each experience with the humility and innocence of a child, shunning worldly desires that mar our spiritual purity. By doing this, we not only guard our own walk with the Lord but also become a beacon of His love to those around us.

In the end, remember the angels of the little ones, the humble, and the innocent, look at the face of our heavenly Father. May this encourage us to live a life that reflects the gentle, loving, and righteous nature of our heavenly Father.

May your day be filled with the love and wisdom of our Father in Heaven, and may His presence guide every step you take, and every decision you make. Stay blessed, and be a blessing to others.
