To Know and Be Known - Intimacy with God

In Exodus 33:17, we find a powerful portrait of the relationship between God and Moses. Yahweh, the Almighty Lord, declares to Moses: "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name!" Here, we glimpse how deep and precious our intimacy with God can be, marked by mutual knowledge—us of Him and He of us. This intimacy is not timid but bold, guided by a divine love that surpasses all barriers and boundaries.

But how do we achieve this intimacy? How do we reach a place where God knows us by name and is pleased with us? The answer is simple yet profound: we spend time with Him. We immerse ourselves in His Word, pray, and seek His presence in every aspect of our lives. Like any relationship, intimacy with God requires commitment, dedication, and love. And just like with a great friend, the more time we spend with God, the more we know Him and are known by Him.

Intimacy with God allows us to go beyond the superficial. He reveals secrets and mysteries to us, guiding our steps according to His divine purpose. It empowers us to ask Him boldly, as Moses did, knowing that He hears us and answers our prayers. However, all this requires from us an attitude of humility and submission, recognizing that He is the one who directs our lives and that we must constantly seek Him.

Therefore, I encourage you today to pursue this intimacy with God. Spend time with Him, dive into His Word, and seek His face in prayer. Let Him know you and be pleased with you, as He was with Moses. This is the source of true spiritual growth, peace, and fulfillment. Be blessed as you embark on this journey of intimacy with the Father.
