Christ’s Sacrifice for Us

Humanity, from the very beginning, has carried an indelible mark: sin. Romans 3:23 reminds us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This truth is universal and undeniable. No one is exempt. At some point, we have all failed, turned away from God, and lost the right to enjoy His glory. However, this is not the final word in our story.

God, in His infinite mercy, has not abandoned us to our fate. He has offered us a path to redemption, a solution we could never achieve through our own efforts. Romans 3:24-26 reveals this wonderful truth: we are “justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood, demonstrating His righteousness. In His forbearance, He had left the sins previously committed unpunished; but in the present, He demonstrated His justice, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.”

Justification is an undeserved gift, an expression of God’s incomparable love. He does not justify us because we are good enough, but because Christ, the perfect Lamb, shed His blood for us. This sacrifice was the ultimate proof of God's justice. In the past, He showed patience, leaving sins unpunished for a time. But in Christ, He fully revealed His justice, offering forgiveness and reconciliation to all who believe.

This transformative grace calls for a response: faith. Not a superficial faith, but a deep and total trust in Jesus. When we place our faith in Him, we are justified—not by our works, but by His sacrifice. We are declared righteous, not because we deserve it, but because He loved us and gave Himself for us.

Today, we can draw near to God with hearts full of gratitude, knowing that although we are sinners, we have been redeemed by the blood of Christ. He is the proof of God's love and justice, the One who rescues and restores us to His glory. May this truth fill us with humility and worship, and may we live each day as witnesses of this grace that justifies and transforms us.

May we, with faith, rest in the certainty that in Christ, we are forgiven, accepted, and loved by God. And may this grace inspire us to live in holiness, honoring the One who has justified us and called us to His eternal glory.
