As we journey through life, we often find ourselves praying and interceding for blessings. At times, it seems as though these blessings are within our grasp, only to slip through our fingers, leaving us in a state of frustration and disappointment.
The story of Pharaoh and Moses in Exodus 8:15 provides a profound lesson about this. "But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said." (NIV)
What we learn from here is that intercession needs to persist until the complete blessing materializes. It is important not to lose heart or give up on the brink of a breakthrough. Nor should we settle for less than what God has promised us.
Pharaoh, in his cunning, had tried to negotiate with Moses, offering a semblance of the blessing but holding back on full liberation for the people of Israel. However, Moses, aligned with God’s plan, declined this offer. "Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, 'Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land.'"(Exodus 8:25, NIV)
Moses refused this offer, holding onto God’s promise for complete victory. This story teaches us to trust in God’s plans, to pray without ceasing, and to hold on to hope until the final blessing arrives.
As you go about your day, remember the truth that God’s plans for you are perfect and complete. Continue to have faith and pray ceaselessly, even when the situation seems challenging or uncertain.
May you find strength and courage in the Lord's promises today, knowing that He is faithful to bring His blessings to full fruition in your life. His plans for you are of victory and not defeat. Stand firm in your faith and hold onto the promises He has made. Your complete blessing is on its way.
