New Beginnings

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:19 ESV

As the new year dawns, we are often propelled into a period of reflection and anticipation, contemplating the past and envisioning what the future might hold. The fluctuations of life might seem like a desolate wilderness or an arid desert. Yet, God promises a fresh start, a transformative work that is about to happen. He assures us that He will make a path in the wilderness, create rivers in the wasteland - symbolising abundant blessings, hope, and rejuvenation.

As we embark on this new journey, let us keep Christ at the center of our decisions, actions, and thoughts. Our Lord is not dictated by the linear passage of time as we are, His plans are ongoing and perfect. He sees the bigger picture, and just as He has done time and again, He will make all things new.

New beginnings can be exciting, yet challenging. The complexities can appear overwhelming. But remember, we have the Creator of the universe beside us, guiding our steps, making a way where it seems none exists.

The prophet Isaiah encourages us to perceive the new thing God is doing. Open your heart, open your eyes, recognise the movement of God in your life. Welcome this new year, these new challenges, with an optimism rooted in your faith.

The world may change, years may pass, but the unwavering love, grace, and faithfulness of God remain constant. Let this truth anchor your soul in the days to come.

May you embrace the new with faith, courage, and a steadfast spirit. May you perceive the work of God in your life, and may the love and peace of Christ guide you through every decision you make this year. Have a blessed day and a hope-filled year.
